    Scooter Quest
    • St Paul, MN

With Americans now spending upwards of $5 per gallon for a tank of gas, something has to give. Unfortunately some Americans are choosing to give up their freedom to travel in order to save a few bucks. But it doesn"t have to be that way. Enter Scooter Quest 2008.

It"s an adventure from Minnesota to New York City, entirely on fuel efficient scooters. We"ll be burning rubber for a good cause, spreading the news of scooters being a fun and easy way to get where you want to go, without forking out a lot of cash.

The new dated has been set for this years Viva Tecate V ride. September 21, 2008

This year Amnesia Clothing has supplied T-Shirts for the rally and will be available for purchase all day. Really cool shirts and artwork. Thanks Amnesia! www.amnesiaclothing.com

This year we are working on securing parking behind the US Customs fence in their parking lot. If not we will do what we have done in the past and park all our bikes together at the Tecate Market on the USA side. We do NOT ride across. What you need: Passport or Valid US ID, helmet lock, bike lock if you have one, small bills, sunscreen, and water. We went down last week for lunch and the customs agent said I needed to start bringing my passport...so if you have one bring it, if not your drivers license will work still.

We"re moving the rally into fall for some cooler weather, and we are relocating to a new site right outside of Gettysburg, PA. But even though we got new digs, don"t worry -- the SSMSC is still all about cold beer, crappy old Italian scooters that don"t run, and good good times.

    Tucson Fall Classic
    • Tucson, AZ
The Tucson-Nogales Fall Classic is 21 and legal to drink (not that age has ever stopped us before). Come be a part of scooter history and ride in one of the oldest scooter rallies in the U.S. We are proud to anounce the historic Hotel Congress is once again the main rally site. So scoot down to the Hotel Congress on the 7th for rally registration, mingling, music, drinks and, of course, scooters all starting at 6 pm. The cost of rally registration will be $25. Registration packs include rally patch, rally shirt, raffle ticket, dinner Saturday, breakfast Sunday, and all the campsite beer you can drink. Register early to ensure t-shirt sizes and styles because quanities are limited. The Congress Hotel fills up very quickly, so check our website for the link to the hotel to reserve your room NOW! The hotel will supply secured scooter parking Friday night and Saturday morning.

Saturday morning, the rally departs from the Hotel Congress for a 125-mile ride through the beautiful scenic landscape of southwestern Arizona. We will have a mid-way stop in the rustic town of Patagonia, Arizona for gas, drinks and to stretch our legs. From Patagonia, we will continue on through Nogales, Arizona to the Calabassas Group Campsite a 5-acre, isolated, and reserved campsite in the Coronado National Forest. Please be advised discharging of firearms and fire works is prohibited by Federal law within the campsite and the national forest.

At the Calabasas campsite, we will be greeted by a catered BBQ, multiple kegs of beer, music and a bonfire. Several campsites, firepits, firewood and a restroom are available. It can get cold at the campsite, so don"t forget tents, sleeping bags and other camping gear. Check the website for hotel information if you prefer not to rough it.

Sunday, we will awaken from our hangovers for a Mexican breakfast of eggs, potatoes, coffee, chorizo, tortillas and menudo and a ride back to Tucson.

For more information: Contact Matthew or Megan Noli @ 520.591.6945 or tucsonrally@hotmail.com

Attention: Any scooter clubs, old or new, that have participated in this historic scooter rally in the past, please contact Matthew in order for your club to receive acknowledgement at this years rally. Visit the website to view participating clubs that we hold in high regard.

    High Rollers Weekend
    • Las Vegas, Nevada
      High Rollers Weekend
      10th Anniversary
      March 19th-23rd, 2009

This is the 10th anniversary of the High Rollers Weekend and we are pulling out all the stops to make it our biggest and best Las Vegas rally ever! It will also be the last ever year for the US/UK joint Vegas rally with British attending as a large organized group; so this is the year for you to break the bank and make your appearance.

      Vegas Rally Highlights

There is no other city like Las Vegas and every minute in Sin City is full of energy and excitement. So there is no real way to summarize what will be the rally highlights, but a few the most noteables will include: rally being hosted at the historic Tropicana Casino which is on a prime location of the Vegas strip, the Friday night all-nighter with two music rooms, numerous DJs and the band the Love Me Nots playing their 60"s based garage fuzz sounds, next a Saturday swap meet/scooter show and shine for scooter viewing and daytime mingling, and finally the main Saturday night event will be held the Tropicana Ball Room with a very special performance by ska legend Dave Wakeling/The English Beat in addition to our international DJs pounding out rally classics from across the world. For full details of all the many rally events and goings on see rally website.

      After Vegas Events

If Vegas was not enough for you and you think you can handle an extended holiday, after the rally scooterists will be traveling to San Diego, CA for a few days of So Cal tourism including a specially arranged Tuesday night Scooter Do put on by SSSC. Then Thursday and Friday, people will head north up the infamous Route 1 Southern California coastline to the Rides of March Rally in San Lius Obispo, CA for another weekend of scooter fun. So take the week off and make this a long vacation to see some of the most spactacular parts of California with fellow scooterists from all over the world - it is truely a once in a life time vacation!

      Special Note

The Vegas rally is open to everyone (over 21) and there will be things to make it great for all attendees. The date has been moved back one month (March 19th-23rd) for even better weather and to allow rally goers to extend their vacation to visit both San Diego and Rides of March Rally.
