You can actully get coffee well over 212 in a microwave. It is a super heated state and quite dangeruos. Once you place something in it such as sugar, cream or a spoon, it will try to correct this imbalence and can cause severe burns as the superheated gas escapes. I know this isn't what is at question but I wanted to get the physic of coffee straight.
