I agree that it may have been hot. I know it was hot.
But it was hot when she bought it (presumably this was NOT her first cup of coffee from this place, and they apparently had been serving the coffee at that same temperature EVERY time she ordered coffee there, right? So she KNEW the coffee was extremely hot, she still ordered it, and she still committed the ignorant action of trying to hold it with her knees).
Thanks for the debate - we both made our points. I still think it was her fault even if the coffee had been 500 degrees. At this point we'e going to have to agree to disagree.
