The purpose of the patriot act is to keep people scared and copmpliant,it's a sleioght of hand. Don't ask any questions, do as your told and believe everything we say or else we'll call you a traitor and you'll pay the price. Just like redneck just did a few posts above. I'm guessing, but I'd say he probably doesn't go to libraries that much so he's not too worried.

By the way, how do you feel about GWB now that they have more or less admitted the whole WMD/Terrorist link in Iraq was a pile opf shite to justify an invasion. Tony Blair is certainly in the shit bigstyle over here, are Americans now too fucking stupid/complacent to be bothered when their government openly lies to them? It certainly seems that way.

Also way to go on the re-building of Iraq. no water, no sanitation, no electricity,no law and order, 24 hour gun battles on the streets, rampant islamic fundamentalism and a fresh posse of dead marines every week it seems. God Bless. Seems like this whole thing wasn't completely thought out before you went in. And what ever happened to Afghanistan, seems like that has yet to mature into the shining beacon of progressive democracy that was promised either. Jesus, it's like my dad, always knocking down some bit of the house for home improvement and never quite finishing anything he starts, with the result that he lives in a rubble strew building site on a semi permanent basis.


Incidentally these are the biographies/obituaries from some of the people killed in this war, Iraqi, American, British and Journalists, you should have a look and see try and put a human face to the whole thing, it goes beyond all the rhetoric and patriotic bullshit, just ordinary people.
