It seems to me that American taxpayers money is being given to these drugs companies, the very same ones which wouldn't allow African nations to produce generic versions of their products and so be able to afford to give them to their citizens.
Will the aid be going only to countries with "acceptable" regimes?
These countries will no doubt be forced to toe the American line in order to obtain medicines that they could have been allowed to produce themselves and it's all dressed up as "aid".
