I was punk in the early eighties, with bands like Exploited, the Germs, Offenders, Black Flag, COC(pre-metal), GBH, JFA, MDC, DRI(pre-metal), Gism, Iron Cross, Vice Squad(ummmm Becky!), etc etc. When hardcore fused with metal in 85-86 I flipped out and steered more towards Oi!, Ska, and UK punk.
I remember going to the New Wave clubs to pick up the pretty girls.
I also listened to New Wave. Yaz, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Beloius Some, Thompson Twins, Trans X, Boytronic, Visage, etc etc.
Would not trade those days for the world!
