Brake question about my car |

I am having problems with my car. This is what happens:
I think my front brakes are rubbing. When I first start it up and drive, the car is fine. Then about ten minutes into it I feel a decrease in acceleration, a little bit of shaking, and a low pitched rubbing (not grinding noise) when I brake. Now this all happens ONLY at speeds above 50 mph, but at lower speeds it drives and brakes fine. When I stop and get out to look at my wheels, I can't even touch the lug nuts that hold the wheel on, because they are piping hot, the drivers side being worse then the passenger side. What exactly is happening to cause this? What else is this messing up? How easy (or hard) can this be to fix ? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
It's a 2000 Hyundai Accent
