US troops fire on protestors: report
April 29, 2003
(11:04) US troops in Iraq are reported to have shot dead a number of Iraqis demonstrating against their presence in a town west of Baghdad.
Residents of Falluja, which is 30 miles from the capital, told the Reuters news agency at least 13 people were killed including a number of children. They said that up to 45 people may have been wounded in the incident.
A local Sunni Muslim cleric was quoted as saying the protestors were unarmed.
He said they had gone to a local school occupied by US troops to ask them to leave, but the soldiers opened fire.
US soldiers in Falluja have declined to comment and US Central Command in Qatar said it knew nothing about the incident
I responded:
>Why did'nt you mention when the Saddam monkeys killed
>protesters, or their own fleeing ? Why?
>Because it did not involve Americans!
>You are one sided, not like most of your countrymen!
