RE: Tax cuts good...entitlements bad |
What states do, is lower taxes to entice businesses to move to their area. Cities and counties do it also. That's what opens up employment. But guess what happens, after the agreement runs out and they are paying full taxes those businesses often look to new areas to move to so they can get another tax break. What does that improve?
Your issue with taxes is not the fed but apparently your choice of city and state.
Of course they are making money now, they aren't selling 99 cent whoppers. McDonald's and Burger King revenues are down, due to discounted menus which are brought upon by their competitiveness. Some places, like Wendy's are doing well because they don't have insane discounts but bring in new customers by improving their menus. Burger King made no money with 99 cent whoppers. I was told this by a store manager long before the corporation was forced to raise prices. their conundrum, 99 cents didn't pay for the burger but by discontinuing them, they had absolutely no business. So their problem was lose any cash flow or lose profit. The corporation was eventually forced to discontinue the 99 cent whopper.
If we can cut government spending AND cut taxes then I am all for it. In fact, that's my fucking point! We are INCREASING government spending while cutting taxes and I say that it is a stupid fucking move. The only companies that do that are the ones that are going out of business and are going to stick it to the company that buys them.
