MTV had all the cool music, and no bs shows on it. It was MUSIC! VH1 was the 'soft rock' type of station that had shows on it. MTV is now the hip-hop/rap crap/gangster ghetto garbage and a bunch of really stupid shows, and VH1 plays music. I think I'm just old...scratch that, I am old.
