que. about squeezed end of exhaust pipe?

hi there, me again, got a question about the muffler on my bike. When my bro and i picked up our 180ss's both exhaust pipes where sqeezed at the ends. on the newer mufflers, they are straight. what i want to know is, does it make a difference (performance wise) if the end of the exhaust is squeezed in? let me know,
