Been doing this a bit and finally figured a way to make it work. First, to get them out, use a table vise clamp and crunch down on the metal tube sticking out. Then wiggle it off. This may take a few tries but they eventually wiggle off. To install you need a threaded rod, some spacer washers to push on the buffer rubber parts only and then some big washers and nuts. Set it up so that only the rubber gets pushed in on both sides simultaneously. Then screw down, lube with rubber safe lube (baby powder doesn't work) and crank inward. You may have to adjust slightly or one buffer will go in further than the other. Practice makes perfect. Tom
