International Scooterist BBS (archived discussion forums)

I still can't get these GS cases apart. I called my local shop and they told me there are some screws on the gear selector that I need to unscrew in order to get the gear selector off, but I don't see them. The GS parts book I have shows nothing about it. Do I really have to take the selector off before I can crack the cases?

What the hell??? Please help before I cut my wrists.
