You guys are unreal!Fords do fine in crash tests,MUCH better than little Jettas.Oh,yes!I believe Volvo IS a Ford,right?Didn't Ford buy them?I'll tell you what.If you don't think weight has anything to do with a survivability in a crash,I'll take my F-250 and we'll do a head-on at 50mph with you in the Volvo (since the Jetta doesn't even rate in this discussion),and since I have a 460c.i.(7.5 L) engine and my truck is heavily loaded to the front,and who do you think will be the one most likely to walk away?(Since you're givin' up 1700 lbs. of death-dealin weight in this instance.Like I said:It isn't just weight,it's the distance and amount of material between you and the destructive force.(I.E.engineering).Educate YOURSELF on the laws of Physics and use some common sense while you're at it!Weight does matter,and engineering matters,and I'll take my SUVs over your Toy-motor any day!
