sticky grips

hey guys,
i just bought new grips to replace the one on my thirty year old vespa. i think they were the original grips. any ways my dirt bike riding friend suggested that i use this glue spray that you use for artwork i guess?? 3M makes it. anywaysmy grips now feel very well lubricated. i was wondering what tips you guys might have for making them stick instead of slide. thanx brian
