you can have your' paperwork back in about two weeks. But not if you pay with a check. While you're waiting for that you can get your' insurance policy started, then you will need to go to a vehicle inspection station that inspects motorcycles and ask for an out of state VIN inspection.(green slip)You need to ask Mr. Holmes What state your' registration will be coming from so you can tell the inspection station what to fill in on the form for state of origin, although "unknown" has worked just fine for me in the past. I think the form asks for a liscence plate number so make sure you've lost that when you get there. If your' bike will pass the safety inspection have them do that too while your' there. The place I go to will do one without the other, but I don't know if they all do. When you get your' paperwork back from ITS take it to your' local tax office and present them with all of the paperwork that ITS sends you, and the green VIN inspection form. When they give you the stupid look and insist that you need a title, point out the letter in your' packet that says vehicles from this state of origin don't require a title to register vehicles X number of years old. The drone will then call his or her superviser and your' title will soon be under way. I know I've probably confused you but these are the hoops you jump through when dealing with ITS from Texas. I've titled a car and a few scooters this way and it works wonderfully every time. If you need any further explanation don't hesitate to email me. KK
