Lambretta Frozen Piston

Posted by Jim from pool0231.cvx3-bradley.dialup.earthlink.net (209.178.140.231) on Sunday, October 14, 2001 at 1:03PM :

I have a Series 2 Lambretta that has not run for years. What is the best way to free a frozen piston from the cylinder. The engine is still in the bike with the cylinder head removed, and I've tried tapping (hitting) the piston crown with a wooden drift. It won't budge.

I know this has been answered before, but I tried searching the archives.
