I don't know what I'm missing, but every time I rebuild an engine it is always more difficult to shift than before I split the cases.On the last two, I hadn't even taken the gear cluster apart,but I did have to pull the mainshaft. Both have new clutch plates that were installed before the rebuilds and they shifted like butter. Is there some fundamental concept that I'm missing? HELP.....ANYONE....?
